For Parents & Educators
Everything about how SageLumin works — nominations, consent, privacy, and what recognition looks like for a featured young creator.
What SageLumin is
SageLumin is an independent children's creative recognition website. We feature story spotlights, story-inspired activities, and imaginative content — built around the belief that a child's creative voice deserves to be taken seriously.
We are not a social platform. There are no user accounts, public profiles, or community features. SageLumin is an editorial website — curated, calm, and built around the work itself.
SageLumin was founded and is led by a single editorial voice. Every decision about what appears on this site is made by a person, not a system.
How nominations work
A trusted adult nominates
A parent, guardian, or teacher submits a nomination on behalf of a young creator. Children do not nominate themselves.
We read every nomination
Every nomination is read with care. We feature a small number of creators each season. Nomination does not guarantee selection.
Selected creators are contacted through you
If a young creator is selected, we reach out through the nominating adult — never directly to the child.
Nominations are coming soon
The nomination form is not yet open. We are preparing for our first season. When nominations open, the form will be available here and announced on this page.

How we choose
Every nomination is read with care by our editorial team. We look for originality, clarity, imagination, and thoughtfulness in the work itself — not age, genre, or location. We feature a small number of creators each season, and nomination does not guarantee selection.
Privacy & consent
SageLumin is built for the adults who care most about the children in their lives. Privacy and consent are not afterthoughts — they are the structure of how this site works.
- Pen names onlyFeatured creators are published using a pen name chosen by the family — never a child's legal name. The pen name is the only identity that appears on the site.
- Guardian approval is requiredBefore anything is published, we confirm consent with the nominating adult. A child's work does not appear on SageLumin without explicit approval from a parent or guardian.
- No child contact information is collectedWe do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, school names, or any identifying information from the children whose work we recognize. Nominations are submitted by adults.
- No accounts, no profilesSageLumin has no user accounts and no public profiles. There is no community, no commenting, and no way for strangers to contact a featured creator.
- Nomination data is handled with careInformation submitted through our nomination form is used only for the purpose of reviewing and, if selected, publishing recognition. It is not shared with third parties or used for marketing.
What recognition looks like
Selected creators are featured on SageLumin through an Illumination Card — a literary panel that spotlights the creator's chosen pen name, age band, and the story or work that caught our attention.
Recognition may also include story-inspired activity pages or coloring pages based on the featured work. In all cases, the family approves what is shared before it appears.
Recognition on SageLumin does not constitute publication rights. The creator and their family retain full rights to the work.
